Hi everyone, it's Evangeline. And today we'll be taking a look at the replacement guy-line for your Rhino Rack accessories right here at etrailer. So guy-lines, also called anchor lines, or guy ropes, or there's a lot of different names for it. All of them work the same way, which is if you have an awning or if you have a tent they stake down the sides of it so that if it's a windy day like it is here at etrailer.com, the wind won't pick up your awing and tent and blow it away. This is very helpful, I cannot say enough how important it is that these are staked down. So if you ran into a situation where you don't have any, or maybe it broke or it's missing, you can get a replacement right here.

Even though they all technically work the same way, which is they connect from your awning down to your stake they have slight differences to them. So I've been camping pretty much all of my life, and the traditional style is just a rope. You have a stake, you tie the rope to it, you tie the rope to the awning, done. Now that's a lot of knots you have to deal with, and if you get it wrong, you lose the whole thing. So here we have a little tool on the end of our guy-line, which helps out with maintaining that tension, without you having to tie a bunch of knots.

So our hook is already tied up to one end of the rope, and all you need to do is bring this through the awning, and the other end to a stake. And then in order to get tension, or to stop it from pulling, you just feed it through, and then it works at an angle. When staking things down, you want that tension. So if you don't have any tension when this is being pulled, you get all that slack, which then means your awning can be lifted up and away into the wind. With this holding onto that rope and at an angle pinching it tight, you then get all that tension, and you can't pull the stake out.

With the extension piece, you get more stakes and three more guy-lines. They are pretty much universal. This is, it works okay in terms of holding tension although I would prefer a more tight fit. I haven't seen any issues with it, even though it's been super windy.
