The green light on top of your Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller # 39510 indicates that a trailer is connected to your vehicle. If this light is not turning on when connected to a trailer there are a couple things, you can check.
I first recommend inspecting both the vehicle side and trailer side connectors for any debris or corrosion built-up around the pins that needs to be cleaned out. If the connectors look good, you will next want to test the brake output pin on the vehicle side 7-Way. Use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the pin at the 5 o'clock position. The load that the tester puts on this pin should trick the brake controller into thinking a trailer is attached, thus illuminating the green light on the unit.
If the green light illuminates, then the problem is likely on the trailer side. You will want to inspect the brake wire on the trailer for any pinched or exposed sections that need to be replaced. Also check the brake assembly wiring to make sure it is in good condition as well.
If you still aren't able to locate or resolve the issue, please let me know and we will continue to troubleshoot!

My teconsha brake controller is working but window doesn’t light up. This makes it very hard to read when adjusting. It’s a teconsha but not voyager.
