There are a couple possible reasons why the green light on your Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller # 39510 is not turning red when applying the brakes in your tow vehicle.

I first recommend testing the red wire from the controller with a circuit tester like # PTW2993. Make sure you are getting voltage on the wire when applying the brakes. If not, there may be a bad connection with the red wire and the brake light switch wire on your vehicle. Make sure all the wiring is in good condition and the connections are secure.

Next, check to make sure the controller sensor is properly set. To level the sensor, you will set the power knob to maximum by fully rotating it clockwise (with the trailer connected). Then depress the brake pedal in your vehicle and hold. Rotate the level knob counter-clockwise (towards the back of the control) until the light starts to change colors, from green to red. Then carefully rotate the level knob clockwise (towards the front of the control) until a shade of orange is visible. The light will show a dim orange for a typical setting, a bright orange for an aggressive setting, and a dim red for a more aggressive setting.

If you are still unable to resolve the issue, please let me know and I will be happy to look into this further.
