Trailer Connector for 2018 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I own a 2018 Toyota Tacoma. I just bought a utility trailer and need the brakes, taillights and blinker to work. Will this be all I need to order to accomplish that?

If by "brakes" you mean the brake lights then yes, part # C56349 is all you need to hook up a trailer to your 2018 Toyota Tacoma. I've linked an install video on a Tacoma for you. It plugs in to the truck's wiring behind both tail lights and then has a power wire to run to the truck battery. I've also linked an article about routing that power wire you might find helpful.
If you actually mean that the trailer has electric brakes then you need a 7-way connector, part # 22117. It also plugs in behind the tail lights but there are more wires to run after that for the other functions. I linked the installation details for you.
In addition to the 7-way, electric trailer brakes require a brake controller. I recommend the Curt Echo, part # C51180. I plugs into the 7-way and connects wirelessly to a smartphone via Bluetooth. You download an app onto your phone which then acts as the in-cab controller.
