Replacement Legs for Keystone Copper Canyon 5th Wheel Landing Gear

Question:

We have a 2011 Keystone Copper Canyon 5th wheel mod. 324 bunkhouse. The bronze inside the R/H landing gear leg striped out. The is not replaceable. Could one cut the piece off that holds the and weld a steel nut in its place? If not, which is the recommended replacement leg for this camper. Also, do you recommend replacing them as a pair, or only the bad one?

It is possible to replace just one leg of your 5th wheel landing gear. You will just need to confirm if it is the lead/driver leg or the follow leg. Usually the lead leg is on the driver side and the follow leg is on the passenger side.

You'll also want to try to find a brand name and part number on the damaged leg. You want to match up the leg dimensions and the spacing of the mounting brackets as shown in the linked diagram.

Most likely your trailer has Lippert landing gear so for a lead/driver leg check out Lippert part # LC179013 and for the follow leg part # LC179014. These parts also fit other brands of landing gear including Atwood, Venture and Stromberg Carlson. Complete landing gear sets appear on the linked page.
