Awning Fabric Replacement Weather Strip Recommendation for Dometic Awning on Trailer

Question:

What is the weather strip mentioned on this product. Is it actually a heaver strip designed to protect the awning when rolled up? Or is it simply a solid colored strip for the last few inches so the awning looks better when rolled up. Currently my awning is developing small holes just before the bead that attaches to the track on my RV. Im looking to replace the awning with something that will offer some enhanced protection for this part of the awning when my RV is at the storage lot. Ive seen awnings that are 15oz and 18oz, but this thinner 13.5oz fabric kind of scares me. Lastly, Ive included a photo of the label on my current awning. What do you recommend for the correct awning that might satisfy my concerns. Thanks!

The Solera 21' Sand Fade RV Awning Roller and Fabric, # LCV000334447, you referenced should fit the awning arms on a Dometic awning. Lippert cannot confirm the fit as they have not installed these parts, but they can confirm this awning fits industry standards, so you shouldn't have any issue. This awning roller and fabric will fit an assembly designed for 21 foot long awning with a 8 foot extension from the RV. This fabric is anti-scuff, anti-mildew and transitions from sand to white with a white weather strip. The weather strip is the white section at the very end of the awning fabric. It's a lighter oz than what you mentioned but it will last a long time and is very high quality.
