If the total tongue weight of your set up is 1,000 pounds when loaded and ready to tow then you would need to go with a weight distribution system that puts that tongue weight in the middle of a system's range. So in this case, between a 1,000 pound system and a 1,200 pound system you would need the 1,200 pound system.
But to choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. So the tongue weight could be more than 1,000 pounds.
If your total tongue weight ends up being between 600 and 1,200 pounds then Reese Strait-Line System # RP66084 is a great option and all you will need is a ball, # 19286.
If the tongue weight is between 700 and 1,400 pounds though I recommend the Reese Steadi-Flex system # RP66561 with ball # 19286. I have linked videos on both systems as well as some on weight distribution and determining tongue weight.
