Bars and weight truck and trailer on a cat scale i had previously weighted my truck by itself loaded to how it would tow my trailer what kind of tongue weight should i now be seeing? Thanks Bob C.

Expert Reply:
You should be seeing a slightly higher weight due to the addition of a weight distribution system. Weight distribution hitches like the Reese Item # RP66084 you were looking at shift some of the pressure of the trailer's tongue weight forward to your truck's front axle. They don't actually change the poundage of your tongue weight.
