Will a Trailer Hitch Fit a 2018 Infiniti QX60 with Backup Sensors

Question:

I noticed that recommended the Draw-Tite MaxFrame for its greater capacity. Do you agree that will work as well (would prefer the greater capacity if possible) if so what additional parts do I need (wiring harness, etc..)

I reached out to Curt, who makes the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13126 for your 2018 Infiniti QX60 (excluding Hybrid) and they informed me that the hands free liftgate feature will still work but you will need to position your foot on either side of the receiver tube. They did not mentioned any kicking motion.

I don't believe the surround sensors, backup sensors, or pre collision avoidance features will be hampered by the hitch but the pre collision avoidance has not been tested. We have tested it on a model with the surround and backup sensors (see photo) to which no issues were present.

For a trailer wiring harness, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56281 which is a plug and play option. We don't have an install video of this harness on a 2018 Infiniti QX60 but we do on a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder and it will be pretty much the same as your QX60.

The fitment of the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76031 shouldn't be any different than the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13126 in regards to compatibility with the hands-free liftgate and surround/backup sensors. The pre collision avoidance has again not been tested with this trailer hitch either. The maximum towing capacity of your QX60 is 5,000 lbs so if you need a trailer hitch rated for this then Draw-Tite would be the better option. However, if you care more for looks then you would want to use the Curt hitch as the crosstube is much more concealed than that of the Draw-Tite as you can see in the attached photos. I still recommend the same Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56281 listed above.
