Inverting Ball Mount to Work With Taller Trailer Couplers for Level Towing
Question:
Can you put a ball hitch upside down to gain height
asked by: Robert
Expert Reply:
Ball mounts like # 2753 can absolutely be inverted to gain height. This is referred to as a rise instead of a drop, meaning there is a measurement from the inside top of the receiver tube on your trailer hitch to the bottom of your trailer coupler when level. That difference will either be a rise or drop and will determine the ball mount needed for you to tow level. I've attached an article to assist further.
I've linked the page to all our fixed mount ball mounts as well as the adjustable options to ensure you can tow multiple different trailers with the same ball mount.
