Can a Ball Mount Be Inverted To Give a Rise Instead of Drop

Question:

Thanks for the quick response Conner. I was thinking about a hitch like this one. B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount - 2-1/2" Hitch - 4-1/2" Drop/Rise - 14.5K - Black

I am not exactly sure which particular ball mount this is in reference to but the one you came from, the Draw-Tite Ball Mount for 2" Hitches part # 2753 can be inverted to increase rise up to 2-3/4". This is the case for most ball mounts as well but if you let me know exactly which one you have then I can confirm this for you.

Please note, you will want the distance from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler to be equal or close to the distance from the ground to the top inside edge of the trailer hitch. If you let me know what these two distances are I can make sure you get the perfect ball mount if the one you have now will not work or cannot be inverted.

I have attached our 2" ball mount selection as well.

Yes, the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount part # BWTS20037B can be used in the normal drop position to provide up to (-) 5" or in the inverted rise position to provide up to (+) 5-1/2". The B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount is an excellent choice and one of the best ball mounts on the market, the only one in fact with the stow feature because it is patented.
