Can I Put Wider Tires on a 17 Inch Wheel

HI wondering if a 245/65r17 tyre fit the same rim as a 225/70r17 tyre??

It sounds like you're looking for passenger vehicle tires which we don't carry. All of the tires and wheels we carry are for trailers.

I did find that a 245/65-17 szie tire fits a wheel between 7 and 8-1/2 inches wide. I'm not able to find any info on a 225/70-17 size tire so I'm wondering if you may have mistyped it. Although a 225 is 20 mm thinner than a 245 which is just under an inch and a similar size of 225/75-17 fits a 6 to 7-1/2 inch wheel. So both of those size tires fit a 7 or 7-1/2 inch wide wheel.

If you can clarify some of the info I may be able to give you a more straightforward answer. For one, verify the 225/70-17 tire size for me. Also, what size wheel are you trying to fit the tires on? If you have a wheel and aren't sure of its width I've linked a video of one of our wheels. If you skip ahead to about the 1:10 mark you'll see how it's measured.
