Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

I wish they came in more colors but they are a good heavy wheel and the only six bolt with the right centerbore circumference that fit my trailer, that I could find on the internet, so glad for that thank you

by:

Pretty good/fair quality for the price. Etrailer shipped them fast. My only real complaint is that there isnt a color option other than black. I had to paint them so that took alot of time and money. Overall good wheels. I put 10 ply tires on and have hauled allot of gravel this past year. Thanks

by:

Great looking match to existing wheels. In balance and round, nice powder coating. Came quickly and no damage. Only supplier I could find for this wheel.

by:

Wow! Shipping was unbelievably fast!
Agent
Terry was extremely helpful for a quick add on so all items came at once. Very pleased with my experience with etrailer

by:

It says advertised I wish that it came in white or silver I checked it out on my trailer and it seems to fit so I will take it off sandblasted and paint it white, would have bought a modular but they did not have the right size center bore hole that I think its important to help support the weight of a loaded trailer not just six bolts. This was the only wheel I could find that had the right offset the right bolt pattern the right wheel size and the right bore in the center of the wheel

by:

Packaging needs improvement! Two wheels in a box with a piece of cardboard stapled to the inside to separate them is not going to hold these wheels in place during shipping. The staples make for a great way to scratch the wheels up while they roll around in transit though. Every other wheel manufacturer boxes them up individually. The powder coating seems to be quality and we didn't have any issues with mounting or balancing. For those of you looking to use these on a vehicle as a factory drum brake wheel alternative, they won't fit the calipers, at least not the most common GM style single piston caliper. Overall good quality product.

by:

Order 2 for a 4 wheel cattle/horse trailer. Quality wheel, so ordered 2 more. Easy smooth transaction. Website made it easy to find what I needed and was the only retailer after searching several hours, that carried my size. Fast Shipping! Quality product "made in USA" and quality service also made in USA. Thanks to all those who made this a great purchase from etrailer !

by:

3's a charm. The first one received was out of round giving the tire a "hop". Etrailer was quick to get me a second one that happened to bent. They were quick to respond again and had the 3rd wheel checked by a local tire shop before send it. The wheel mounted a balance fine and seems well made. Etrailer did everything right in taking care of the issues. Thank you.

by:

Great quality and value rims. Very excellent and easy and friendly ordering and prompt shipping. I love them on my 67 k10 chevy. Thanks etrailer.

by:

so far so good the wheels and hubcaps have held up wonderful

by:

After searching for steel wheels with vintage style caps, I purchased these wheels after speaking with the customer support people, that assured me the caps would fit and these would fit my Airstream, I bought these along with the Cone style caps, I had them powder coated the color we wanted, they turned out great, and great customer service.

by:

Very heavy and well made. Powder coating is great! Would recommend.

by:

I replaced all 4 split rims on my 63 Airstream with these. They are a perfect replacement and they even fit the cone shaped metal hub caps. Look and preform wonderfully.

by:

Great customer service and order arrived within two days. Another site quoted more money and wheels wouldn’t ship for two to three weeks.

by:

exact fit for 1975 airstream Trailor

by:

Good products, fast shipping and good order tracking.

by:

Order arrived quickly.
Lazer the salesman
was great!

by:

The cost was the cheapest I found, yet the quality of the product was outstanding. I was surprised to find the shipping was free, which made this purchase and excellent deal from all aspects. I will look for more great deals with etrailer.com.

by:

Excellent product, very quick on delivery!!!
Definitely
purchase from trailer again.

by:

Love these rims! Shipping Container allowed 3 rims to bang together as box was heavy and hit ground hard a couple times. I had a dimple on the tire bead I had to hammer out. Two rims max per Shipping Container would be easier to provide shock isolation and would be easier for one man to lift. Thanks!

by:

These wheels are a perfect match for my 1963 Airstream travel trailer. Received wheels quickly with no damage. An added bonus, I was also supporting a Missouri Local company. I will definitely be supporting this company in the future.

Curious what you used ad hubcaps or center caps!? Im trying to set up a 63 airstream.

I used a cone center caps. You could also use a dome style center caps.

by:

i found these wheels to be sturdy and the guys that put my tires on said that they balanced very easy , made a world of difference on my ride great package and fast shipping , i have told a lot of people where i got them at

by:

Wheels arrived on time and well packaged. Will be a great upgrade for our 1965 Airstream Tradewind.

  • Is There a 16 Inch x 6 Inch Steel Wheel With 6 on 5-1/2 Inch Bolt Pattern
We do have a wheel which is the same as the 15" x 6" Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel # AM20514 but simply an inch larger in diameter; what you need is the following: - Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel - 16" x 6" Rim # AM20758 This has the same 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern as the hub you referenced. I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well.

  • Replacement Wheels for 1966 Chevy C/K Series Pickup That Accept 10-1/8 Inch Hub Caps
I may be able to provide a solution for you here, but we do not have any wheels that are 15" diameter and 5" wide; additionally since the wheels we carry are designed for use on trailers, almost all of them will not have an offset, so you will need to take that into consideration when choosing one for your truck. With that said, we do have wheels that are 15x6 in a 6 on 5.5" bolt pattern, which would require the use of a tire that is 205, 215 or 225 wide like the # AM10303 -but you will...

You will want to click the filters on the page to choose your size, etc. You'll want to choose a new rim that has the required weight rating and the same bolt pattern and offset as your others. I linked an article to help you confirm your Airstream's wheel bolt pattern. A wheel's offset is how far from the wheel's center the tire tread center will be. Positive offset...

The Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel # AM20514 you found is designed to use a Baby Moon Hubcap # PX1307SS. This style wheel does not accept a traditional Wheel Center Cap # LHCS108-SI60C. To use this style cap I recommend the Vesper Steel Modular Trailer Wheel # TA32FR. This has the same 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern with 15" x 6" dimensions.
