We have several custom install options for the 2007 Chevrolet 2500 HD pickup, see link. The installation kit is the same whether you have a 2007 classic body style, a 2007 new body style, a 6-1/2 foot bed or an 8 foot bed. Your truck should be capable of towing a fifth-wheel trailer with a gross trailer weight of 6,500 lbs when loaded and ready to tow, but you should check your vehicle owners manual or with the Chevrolet dealer for information specific to your truck.

I would recommend the Reese 20K fifth-wheel hitch with round tube slider, # RP30083, if you have a 6-1/2 foot bed. If you have an 8 foot bed I recommend the standard Reese 20K fifth-wheel hitch, # RP300928.

The Reese custom install kit, # RP50064-58, will be the easiest to install and requires much less drilling. We have a installation video of this kit being installed on a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado that you should find helpful. I have linked instructions for this kit for you to go over also.

If you need in bed wiring for the fifth-wheel hitch, and you have an OEM 7-Way at the rear of your truck, the 90-Degree Wiring Harness, # 50-97-410, would be a good choice. If you need to hard wire a harness, the 7-Way Pre-Wired Car Connector, 7' Lead # 20023, would work for you.
