Towing a Trailer with a 2018 Honda Accord 2.0T
Question:
Hello. I will be needing to tow a motorcycle once in a while for track-days with my new 2018 Honda Accord. The rated towing capacity for the 2.0L engine is 1000lb with 100lb tongue limit. The bike would weight somewhere around 400lb and the trailer is around 400lb as well. Which tow hitch do i need? What all parts will i need to buy? I am totally new to towing in general. Moreover, i have heard some hitches reduce the ground clearance and scrape everytime there is an uneven surface like a driveway. What are my options if i want to avoid that?

I recommend the Curt # C11525 to tow with your 2018 Honda Accord. Both of them have about the same ground clearance and it will take some away from your car. This Curt hitch sits 11 inches from the top of the receiver opening to the ground.
In addition to the hitch receiver, you also need the recommended ball mount, part # 3593. The hitch balls that fit are # 19258 for a 2 inch ball or # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball. You need to match the ball size to your trailer's coupler.
Finally, the wiring harness for your Accord is part # 118776.
