Recommendation for Installing Fifth Wheel Hitch On 2014 Ram 3500 with Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

I have a 2014 Ram 3500 with an under bed gooseneck hitch. If I need to install 5th wheel rails for a standard 5th wheel hitch, would there be clearance issues in installing both system?

We have one possible easy solution for your, but it will require the hitch you have installed in the bed of your 2014 Ram 3500 to be a B and W Turnoverball gooseneck like the part # BWGNRK1314 which is a fit for your truck.

If this is the hitch you have then to install a fift wheel hitch will require only the part # BWRVK3500 for a fixed hitch or part # BWRVK3400 for a slider hitch. You'll need the slider if you have a short bed truck for turning clearance or if you have a long bed you can use the fixed hitch.

If you have a different brand gooseneck hitch let me know and we can see what would be best solution. One possibility would be to use the fifth wheel to gooseneck adapt part # CAB-C5G. In nearly all situations though you can't install both a fifth wheel rail kit and gooseneck hitch.
