I hav a 2002 gmc sonoma 4x4 . It does have the drive line disconnect . What are the options for towing it

Flat towing requires a number of components that are detailed in the linked article. These major items include base plates, safety cables, tow bar, a wiring/lighting kit and braking system.

For the 2002 Sonoma 4x4 (excluding the ZR2 Highrider) we do have base plate fits including the Roadmaster # 179-2 which has removable arms. For a compatible tow bar we offer the Falcon 2 model # RM-520 and for safety cables you can use # RM-643. For a universal diode wiring kit you can use # RM-15267 or if you prefer a removable magnetic light kit # TL21RK. For a braking system that will require a one-time install we offer the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 or if you prefer a portable unit that can be moved to another vehicle the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR.

I found an online owner's manual for your 2002 GMC Sonoma 4x4 and on page 4-42 GMC states that only the 2WD model can be flat towed.

It also states:

"Your transmission has no provision for internal lubrication while being towed. To properly tow your vehicle, it should be placed on a platform trailer with all four wheels off the ground. Towing with all four wheels on the ground should be avoided".

It also states that when unavoidable flat towing can be done by removing the propeller shaft according to the service manual instructions, which a dealership will have. Dolly towing with the front wheels on the dolly will also require this procedure.

I recommend referring this matter to a dealership that has the specific knowledge to perform the needed modifications. Please refer to pages 4-41 thru 4-44 of your manual.
