Comparing Curt and Draw Tite 2 inch Trailer Hitch for 2018 Mazda CX-9

Hi, So I just bought a cx-9. it came with a class ii 1.25inch receiver. I need a 2. which is one is better? Draw tite or Curtis? Also, My rear bumper is cut to allocate the receiver. do you have a hitch receiver that will go in that place? Thank you! Thank you for your help!

Both of the 2 inch hitches we offer for your 2018 Mazda CX-9 will have their hitch opening below the rear bumper of the vehicle. The better option is the Draw Tite part # 76020 over the Curt part # C13284 as the Draw Tite has a better price, slightly higher towing capacities, and a built in trailer wiring bracket. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.

For trailer wiring you'd want the # 119250KIT.

If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

According to Draw-Tite, once the #76020 hitch is installed it won't completely prevent the sensors from picking up movement. It'll block the sensors in the middle of the vehicle by the receiver tube, but the sensors on either side…

The Curt hitch part #C13284 has the best clearance for a bike rack to fit past the rear bumper. It has 5 inches from it's pin hole out to the furthest edge of the rear bumper whereas the Draw Tite #76020 has 7 inches.
