Where Does etrailer Hitch E98866 Bolt Onto a 2016 Ford Escape

I looked at your pictures and looked under my car. I only see one hole drilled on the side of the frame at the rear where the bumper attaches . Cant see where the bottom flange attaches.

If you take a look at the instructions I have linked for etrailer hitch # E98866 for the 2016 Ford Escape you will see that the hitch also uses the holes that support the muffler. That is probably why you do not see all of the holes required for installation.

The hands-free liftgate of your 2014 Ford Escape will still function with the etrailer.com hitch part #E98866 installed. You will have to kick your foot to either side of the hitch opening though.
