Could Hitch Extension be Used with Draw Tite Hitch 75673 and Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack
Question:
I have a 2015 Subaru Outback that came with a Draw-Tite 2inch class III receiver hitch. #75673 I believe I have a swagman XTC4 bike carrier #S64665. The receiver hitch is recessed so far that I cannot fold up the bike rack. Im already pushing the 200lb weight limit with 4 bikes on the Outback so Im assuming a short extension is not advisable? Any suggestions?

Hitch extensions cut the tongue weight capacity of the hitch they are installed in by 50 percent so they are not advisable for most setups. But if you are sure you have the Draw Tite part # 75673 installed you should note that this hitch has a tongue weight capacity of 600 lbs. So with an extension like the # HE06 you'd have 300 lbs of tongue weight capacity left over for the bike rack. This extension would give you an additional 7 inches.
