Trailer Wiring Harness and Mounting Bracket for a 2017 Mazda CX-5

Will this item work/fit with the tekonsha wiring kit for Mazda CX 5 - Item # 118746?

Mounting bracket # 18144 will work with trailer wiring harness # 118746 for your 2017 Mazda CX-5. But it is not needed unless you were to route the 4-Way end of the harness down through the rear cargo area floor to the outside of the vehicle and over to the hitch. This is because the wiring harnesses for this vehicle are designed to have the 4-Way run out through the rear hatch with the hatch closed on it (the weather stripping will protect the wiring). Otherwise it is stored in the spare tire compartment.
If you want to have it permanently mounted outside of the vehicle then look for a grommet or some exit point in the bottom-most part of the cargo area through which you can route the 4-Way (this may require cutting the 4-Way end off, routing wires, then splicing the 4-Way back on). If there is no exit point then you would need to drill a hole (careful of what is on the other side!) and seal it back up with silicone after you are done.
Then you could use the bracket but you may also need a bracket extension # 18140 or # C57202.
