Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a boat handrail. This marine handrail provides a secure grip to help you get into or out of the water. You can lower yourself from your boat's platform or pull yourself back up onto the deck. When it comes to the construction, we're looking at electro-polished 316 stainless steel. It's very strong and durable and extremely corrosion resistant. This is a flush mount design so once it's installed there's no visible signs of the mounting hardware, offering a really nice clean look.
The rail mounts directly to the boat deck with the included hardware. The studs are already attached and then you have two flat washers, and then you have two mounting nuts.A few measurements to go over with you real quick, starting with the link that we have from the center of one stud to the center of the other. That measures about 10 inches. The bar diameter, it's this portion here, that's three quarter of an inch. The mounting stud dimensions, these measure five-sixteenths of an inch in diameter, by two and three-eights inches long.
Once installed, you'll have about an inch and a half of space between the installation surface and the bottom of the handle, so plenty of room to get your hand in there.The overall length of the unit, measuring outer edge to outer edge, that measures about, pretty close to eleven and one quarter inches, maybe eleven and three-sixteenths, right in that area. Then the overall height or depth of the unit offers once it's installed from the installation surface to the top of the handle, is about two and five-sixteenths inches.
