Brake Controller for 2017 Nissan Armada
Question:
I have a 2017 Nissan Armada Platinum- I just purchased a 2019 Rockwood ESP offload edition pop up camper and apparently it needs a brake controller? Does the Nissan have this built in when you plug in the trailer or do I need to add a brake controller? If I do is it a simple plug and play and can you direct me to the correct parts

There is not a factory brake controller on the 2017 Nissan Armada to my knowledge; though your vehicle may have the tow package with the factory 7-way at the rear of the vehicle.
If you do have this, you only need the brake controller and wiring adapter; if you do NOT have the factory 7-way you will need to add Factory Style 7-Way and 4-Way Flat Vehicle End Trailer Connector # N40975.
As for the brake controller itself, I strongly recommend the Prodigy P3 # 90195 which you would install with Wiring Adapter # 3050-P; it is the most popular model we carry due to its effectiveness and ease of use. It will activate your trailer's brakes immediately in proportion to your Aramda's brakes and offers three different boost levels so you can adjust your braking power.
The P3 levels automatically, has constant diagnostic checks, contains safeguards which defend your controller against shorts, and features an LCD display which is much easier to read than that of other controllers. This controller has been met with nearly universal praise; it has been reviewed by our customers more than 2,000 times and is averaging close to 5 out of 5 stars.
