Where are the Leaf Spring Seats Located on the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam w/ Idler Hubs # 8327812-I
Question:
Which side of the axle is the spring seat located? Is it the same side as the to the hub or opposite, I need to know because I currently am returning a different axle because the spring seats are on the bottom opposite side of axle from to the hub and I need it to be on the top so my leaf springs will sit on top of the axle

The spring seats on the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam w/ Idler Hubs # 8327812-I are welded to the bottom of the axle so that the axle sits on top of the leaf springs when it is installed. We do have a solution for this Dexter axle to work for you and if you haven't returned your current axle this will still work for your application.
The Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00 is for a 2-3/8" diameter axle and is used to move the leaf springs from under the axle to on top of the axle. This raises your trailer the height of your trailer axle as well as the height of your leaf spring stack. It comes with 2 leaf spring seats, which should be tacked welded to the axle, that allow the leaf springs to sit at a different location.
A review video and the installation instructions have been linked for you to referenced.
