How to Install a Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
On my 2018 pathfinder, under the passenger side near rear of vehicle are the ports to attach tow harness. There are only 2 ports on my pathfinder. You are recommending a wire package with multiple jacks. What are the extra jacks for, and do I need the relays. Isn’t there a kit I can use where I wouldn’t have extra parts, or are these parts not extra. You recommended the flat 4 connector.

For your 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, I recommended the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118670 which is a direct fit and will not require you to cut or splice any wires. There are two parts to the harness and both are needed. The first part is a 4-way trailer connector that attaches to a single port under the vehicle near the spare tire. The other part is a harness for the relays that will plug into the fuse box inside the rear hatch compartment. There are only two plugs on the side of the harness that attaches to the vehicle. The side with three plugs is where you will install the relays and fuses. There will be no extra parts.
If you need help with installation you can reference the video I have attached for you on a similar 2017 Nissan Pathfinder which will be the same as your 2018.
