Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2018 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
Im trying to decide which hitch to buy for my 2018 pathfinder. How much fascia needs to be trimmed and what exactly is the fascia on the bumper. Does it finish with a clean look, and is the fascia visible from the rear of the vehicle?

For your 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, I highly recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76031. This Class IV hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. This particular hitch model does not require any fascia trimming at all - the hitch will bolt up to the frame and sit below the bumper without the need for any vehicle modifications. Fascia simply refers to the outside shell of a vehicle's bumper.
I have attached an installation video on the 2017 model Pathfinder that you can use for reference. The process should be just about identical on your 2018.
If you are looking to do some towing and you don't yet have a trailer wiring harness installed on the vehicle, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118670. This custom harness will install by connecting directly to built-in ports located under the vehicle on the passenger side. This will provide you with a 4-Way connector to connect with and power a trailer's basic signal lights.
I have again attached an installation video that you can check out.
In order to tow a trailer, you will also need a ball mount and hitch ball. I have attached a great article that explains how to choose the best one for our setup, along with a link that will take you to our available selection.
