Should Brighter Filament of Trailer Lights Be Same on Both Sides of Trailer with Blinker Application

Question:

You okay 1999 Super Duty truck and Sportsman1999 trailer as one turn light working normal and other side dim on turn lamp. Running lamps appear normal. Noticed odd ops on lamp elements of bulb. Right turn flashes different element of bulb dim. Left turn flashes other element of bulb bright. Ops like wires are crossed.?? Can you comment?

Sound like one of the assemblies has the running light and stop/turn circuit switched as the brigher filament of the bulb should be the same on both lights and would explain why the side doesnt' work properly. On the dimmer assembly try swapping the power wires that lead to it.
