Replacement Hitch Pin for a 20 Year Old Thule Bike Rack

I have an old thule bike rack. It holds four bikes and is probably close to 20 years old. The arm swings down so you can open up the back door of the van. The only number written on it that I can find is 5150109. The hitch pin is lost and its threaded. What can I use as a replacement?

I spoke to my contact at Thule and they informed me that as the hitch pin for their bike racks has remained almost unchanged over the years, you can use the Replacement Threaded Pin part # 853-5917 for a standard hitch pin or the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock part # THSTL2 for a locking hitch pin.

For your Thule Vertex XT you can use pin #TH62RE. This is the pin part only from the Snug-Tite lock you mentioned. This will allow you to have a regular threaded pin and add the lock later if you wanted.

I have confirmed that the Replacement Threaded Pin for Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device, part #TH62RE will fit your Thule Parkway Bike Rack 958. I actually pulled one off the shelf and tried it in the rack.

I spoke to my contact at Thule and she informed me that the correct hitch bolt you would need for your Thule 959 Trailway would be the part #908-1240-54. The #F-315 does not work with the Thule racks.
