Trailers do generally have a listed spec for their dry tongue weight. I wasn't able to find any definite information your 1996 Mallard because there are several different models with a wide range of different tongue weight capacities. However, since this would only be the dry tongue weight it probably isn't the figure you really need to know.
Tongue weight should be between 10 to 15 percent of the trailer's actual weight. So the dry tongue weight won't tell you a lot. To determine the actual tongue weight of your trailer you need to have the trailer loaded. There's a few different ways to do this and I've linked an article explaining them in detail.
With any of the methods in the article you first need to load the trailer as it will be when you're towing it. Then you either need to take the trailer to a commercial scale, use a standard bathroom scale, or the best way to know for sure is to use a tongue weight scale like the # e99044.
In addition to that if you're trying to find your trailer's tongue weight in order to choose a weight distribution system you also need to add in the amount of weight you have stored behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. When it comes to weight distribution this acts just like tongue weight. I've also attached an article on weight distribution for you to check out if you'd like, as well as our selection of the systems we offer. If you find your trailer's loaded tongue weight andthe amount of weight behind the rear axle let me know and I'll recommend an appropriately rated system for you.
