When we had the chance to install a brake controlelr in a similar 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan we found that the correct brake signal wire was white with a green tracer. I'd recommend looking for that wire first and then using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to verify that it has 12 volts only when the brakes are applid and use it for the red wire of your brake controller.

I attached an install video for the Grand Caravan down below that shows the entire process as well.

I located the cold brake wire on my 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. It tests at 12 volts only when the brake pedal is depressed. It is the white wire with the small green tracer. This wire is the most forward wire in the bundle of 7 wires which are located on the topside of the white plastic connector. About 2 inches of bundling tape must be cut away to expose enough wire to fit in the crimp connector. It’s a tight spot to work in.

@ChrisR Thanks I can't wait to get back out there. I went crazy looking for that wire. I used a test light and tried every wire like 3 times . the light never lit. It lit on all the other connections. Should I use a volt meter and just go from wire to ground.

@George Have you tried testing the circuits with your circuit tester while depressing the brake pedal? If you have, then I would trace the wire and look for any corrosion or pinch points. You may just need to replace the wire.
