Ball Mount Compatibility with Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2012 Kia Soul
Question:
I had a Hitch put on my 2012 Kia Soul to haul my tear camper. I dont know how to tell what class the hitch is to tell if this would be compatible. Is there a way to tell?

There are only Class I trailer hitch receivers available for your 2012 Kia Soul. The Curt Class II Drawbar # C45521 is what is recommended for a ball mount with a Class I trailer hitch, but the # C45014 is also compatible. Class I and Class II hitches are both 1-1/4 inch openings and there are not Class I rated ball mounts.
For either ball mount, you will need the pin and clip # F-4 as well as a hitch ball. For a 2 inch hitch ball I recommend # A-82. For a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball I recommend # A-80.
If you don't have trailer wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118637 which is a confirmed fit for your vehicle. I've attached a video of this installation to assist.
