The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13363 is a custom fit for your 2018 Jeep Compass. It will require trimming the bumper cover trim and the heat shield. I've attached a photo of the instructions where it shows this, but have also linked the entire instruction details for you to view.

If you don't wish to do the bumper cover trimming, then I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76144. This is a confirmed fit as well and still requires minor heat shield trimming, but it does not require trimming the bumper cover as this hitch sits underneath that area.
