Troubleshooting Hands Free Liftgate Sensor on 2015 Ford Edge

I installed a curt class 3 on a 2015 Ford Edge purchased from you with a foot activated tailgate. The foot activated tailgate does not work most times. It does open occasionally but not most of the time. Any Recommendation ? Is the sensor able to be moved?

The hands free liftgate on your 2015 Ford Edge has sensors that can be adjusted on your vehicle to better see movement of your foot. The sensor sees movement so a more obvious movement may not require the moving of the sensors for the hands free option to work more often. The Sensor is shaped like a moustache and can be adjusted to better see around your trailer hitch receiver # C13234.
