I have a Big Tex AC20 car hauler that runs Dexter 10K lb axles. How do I know if I'm ordering the correct wheel hub?

We do have some options that might work for you. To be certain of the right choice, you will need to know your bearing sizes and the manufacturing date of your axle. Details about your axle can be found on a sticker or plate that will be on your axle (see picture).

If your Dexter axles were manufactured prior to July 2009 and your inner bearing is like Item # 387A and your outer bearing is like Item # 25580 then the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly, # 8-288-3UC1, will work for you. The assembly comes with the races, the bearings (387A inner and 25580 outer), oil seal, oil cap, wheel bolts, and lug nuts.

If your Dexter axles were manufactured after July 2009, then you will need the Dexter Hub and Drum assembly, # 8-430-5UC3. This assembly comes with races, bearings (387A inner and 25580 outer), oil seal, oil cap, wheel retaining ring, lug nuts, and studs. The drum is for non-ABS brakes.

If these will not work for you then we will need your bearing sizes to make a correct recommendation.

One way to find your bearing sizes so that you get the correct hub and drum assembly is to find the size stamped on the hub and then replace with the same size. If this option is not available then you will need to measure the spindle with a digital caliper like Item # PTW80157 to get the size of your bearings (see attached article).
