For your 1989 Ford F-150, you will simply need to use a 4 way trailer connector like # 118316 and then the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This wiring kit will give you the 7-way, wire, connectors, and the circuit breakers needed. This will wire directly to your electric brake controller.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118316 simply plugs into your Ford F-150's wiring harness, which is located beneath your vehicle, along the driver's-side frame rail.
