Best Replacement Option for 8-14.5 Trailer Tires

Question:

We have a construction trailer that needs to be highway/interstate hauled about 500 mi and need new tires and preferably rims - already mounted. Because of the highways we are going to be on, the trailer needs to be able to be taken at 70 mph. It is a 34 x 8ft trailer it is 12 yrs old and has very few markings, so I cannot tell you brand/model on a tandem axel. the type that will work is 8-14.5 LRG 14.5 in. Demountable Rim Wheel. Can you please help us find the appopriate tire and wheel-set for our application?

The 8-14.5 tires are an older metric size no longer used today. Therefore, you would need to replace these along with the wheels in order to update them. In order to see if we have any options for you, we'd first need to determine the bolt pattern of the trailer. If you are unsure of your bolt pattern, I have attached an article below to help to find this out. The closest match we have for the original size is a 205/75-15 and for this I recommend the Kenda Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Black Mod Wheel part # AM32424 which measures 27.3" diameter x 8.1" wide and mounts to a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. They have an 81 mph speed rating.

I have attached for you below a full list of our replacement wheel/tire options if this won't work.
