What is the Capacity of a 16" x 6" Trailer Wheel with 8 on 6-1/2 Bolt Pattern

Question:

Thank you for the help! The wheels are so rusted that I can’t read the information. I do know the tires have no offset they are just standard 8x6.5 wheel. And the tire size is 235 with load range E

I will be happy to help. The first place to look is on the wheel itself. Sometimes the capacity is stamped into the back side of a wheel or there could be a sticker with this information on it.

If that information is not available please let me know the tire size and load range along with the bolt pattern of the wheels and I can narrow it down for you.

Thanks for getting back to me. So based on the information you have provided you have 16 inch wheels that are likely 6 inches wide and with an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern. The likely capacity of such a wheel is 3,750 pounds but could be 3,960 pounds or even 4,100 pounds depending on the manufacturer. But the safe bet is to go by the 3,750 pound capacity such as wheel # AM20750.
