Recommendation For Different Locations For Ground Wire
Question:
Can I just run a ground wire from the truck adapter all the way back to my trailer light instead of relying on the trailer frame for a ground? I have a fish house where the lights are mounted on the back wall instead of on the frame. Thanks.

Yes that is possible. The main concern with your ground wire is that it is solidly attached to a good ground location. Normally, one of the best and easiest places to mount your ground wire is the vehicle or trailer frame. No matter what, the ground wire needs to be firmly mounted to a clean and corrosion free metal location.
Since you may need additional wire for your solution, I recommend our 12 gauge primary wire that you can purchase by the foot, Item # 12-1-1.
Good luck with the fish house!
