Parts Needed for Disc Brake Conversion on Tandem 10K Axle Gooseneck Trailer

Question:

I have a dual tandem gooseneck with 10k dexter axles. Currently have electric over hydraulic drum brakes, I want to convert them to disc. What kit do I need to do this with. Thank you.

We have trailer disc brake kits as well as detailed help articles that outline the parts needed and the things to keep in mind as you plan your conversion from electric-over-hydraulic drums brakes to EOH discs. The linked article is a great starting point for your project. I also linked our main page for 10K-rated disc brake kits from Kodiak such as # K2R1058D11. Available kits include both hub-and-rotor and rotor-only types.

The article includes links to each item required, but you will not need new brake lines or a new breakaway so long as your existing ones are okay. You will need a new EOH actuator that has the higher pressure required for operating disc brake calipers. One of the more popular choices is the HydraStar # HBA16.
