The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11344 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2005 Audi A6. We haven't had a chance to install this on your model vehicle, but I went out to the warehouse to take a measurement on the hitch that will allow you to see how far down this will hang beneath your Audi. From the top of the mounting brackets where it will attach to the vehicle, to the bottom of the hitch receiver, there is a distance of right at 7-3/4 inches. You can simply take this measurement down from the mounting points on your vehicle to see exactly what your ground clearance will be with the hitch installed.
This Class I hitch will provide you with a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening and a tongue weight capacity of 200 pounds. I have attached the written installation instructions that you can also take a look at.
