Compatibility of Trailer Brake Controllers with Anti-Sway Systems

I have a 2013 f150. Do any of your brake controllers work with the trucks sway control system?

If you are referring to an OEM electronically-operated trailer anti-sway system then you CAN use this along with any trailer brake controller since it uses parallel circuitry that won't interfere with normal braking or signals from a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195.

The Hayes system works with electric or electric-over-hydraulic brakes on trailers with up to 4 axles.

This unit is not compatible with General Motors vehicles with integrated brake controllers.

If you are referring to a mechanical trailer sway-control set-up please tell us about which you have. Some such systems like # EQ37120ET are compatible with both electric trailer brakes and surge brakes.

It sounds like the problem is corrosion on the trailer 7-way brake output circuit which is causing the controller to only show an intermittent connection. Try cleaning off this pin on the 7-way with some fine grit sandpaper. Testing the brake…
