Can the Replacement Base Legs # C16906 be Used with the Curt A20 # C16540 for Stationary Hitch

I have a curt A-20 with slider and do not need slider.. I can make a 90 degree jacknife no problem with the jayco 28.5 and gmc 6.5 inch bed.. Im thinking I could use my parts and these A-20 replacement legs to make a stationary hitch.. I would think all parts should interchange. correct?

If you are able to make those tight turns with the 6-1/2 foot bed on your 2008 GMC Sierra then you can substitute the Replacement Base Legs # C16906 for the sliding legs that your Curt A20 # C16540 head unit is currently using.

You will have to go with a sliding hitch to allow the trailer to make tight turns. For a trailer 8 feet wide the only bed length that's going to allow 90 degree turns without a slider is a stationary hitch. That being said you have two options.…
