Is the Material of Curt Class II 1-1/4 Inch Hitch # C45015, Solid Steel or Tubular Steel
Question:
I wanted to know if this is solid steel or tubular steel. I wanted to keep the ball mount light, it is for a motorcycle. I need a 4 3/4 - 5 inch rise.

The Curt Class II 1-1/4 Inch Ball Mount, part # C45015 has a solid steel shank. It has a 5 inch rise and measures 11-5/8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole.
The other choices I have for a 1-1/4 inch ball mount with a 5 inch rise is the Curt Class II 1-1/4 Inch Ball Mount, part # C45014 which is 9-5/8 inches long and the Draw-Tite Class II 1-1/4 Inch Ball Mount, part # 36065 which is 10 inches long. Both of those ball mounts will also have solid steel shanks.
The most rise I would have for a 1-1/4 inch ball mount with a hollow shank is the Curt Class II 1-1/4 Inch ball Mount, part # C45016. It has a rise of 2-5/8 inches.
