How to Determine if Lippert Manual Pull-Out Step Assembly will Fit 2015 Forest River Trailer

Question:

Hello, LC432687 Will these steps work for my 2015 Forest River Surveyor Cadet? I have what appears to be the same style/design 3 step on my trailer now damaged and I need to replace them. How can I make sure they will work? Thank you,

In order to determine if the Lippert Manual Pull-Out Step for RVs # LC432687 referenced in your question will work on your Forest River Surveyor Cadet, you will just need to take a few measurements on your existing unit.

You will want to first measure the width of your step assembly. This will be the width of the step housing that is mounted to your trailer. I also recommend measuring the step height on the unit. Lastly, take a measurement from the center of the mounting bracket, between the mounting bolts, to the last/bottom step. This will be a diagonal measurement and will help to ensure that the new assembly will not be too long when unfolded.

These Lippert Pull-Out Steps have a mounting base dimension of 27-1/2 inches wide and 9 inches deep. It features a drop/rise between the steps of 7 inches and the diagonal measurement mentioned above is 35-3/4 inches. If this matches what you currently have, then these steps will be perfect replacements for your damaged assembly.

I have attached a video demonstration on this product that you can check out. I have also included a video that further explains how to measure for replacement pull-out steps that you might find very helpful.
