Can Lippert Powered A-Frame Jack LC285318 be Greased

Question:

I have a 2 year old LCI Power Tongue Jack that is on my 2015 Travel Trailer. Recently the power jack has become really noisy when using the power jack specifically going up with the weight of the trailer. It sounds as if I need to grease the gears, but as I read on blogs it seems as if this specific model #1817941 or newer model # LC285318 does not have a grease fitting. It actually blew the 30 amp fuse this weekend while camping when leavingb and raiding the unit up in the air. I replaced the 30 amp and away we went, however this things sounds like it is dry and ready to puke.. Anything that you can recommend that I can do for maintenance or is this thong shot already after 2 seasons you think? I store inside in the Midwest winter so it is out of the weather for the winter months. I was thinking that I can take off the cover and use a lithium type spray grease and help to lubricate the gears. Anything would be helpful. Thanks you

I spoke to my contact at Lippert and they confirmed that the Electric Tongue Jack # LC285318 does not require any grease maintenance. Therefore they didn't include a grease zerk, what you can do is use a spray lithium grease and spray up the inner leg of the jack to try and grease all of the moving parts. You might get lucky and hit where it seems to be needing lubrication.
