Recommended Sumo Spring Suspension Enhancement for 2000 GMC Sierra 2500 4WD

Question:

Thank you Jason! I assume these are for the rear suspension, do they also make a set for the front? I have a large snowplow on half the year and thinking these may help with the front weight? Thank you

I'm happy to help you with that application. For your 2000 GMC Sierra 2500 4WD there are three SumoSpring options for your truck.

If you will be doing normal towing and payloads then I recommend the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-211-40 which are rated for 1,000 lbs. They will not give you a harsh ride but will help you with load leveling and support.

If you will be doing more heavy trailer hauling or heavier bed loads then I recommend # SSR-211-47 which is rated for 1,500 lbs capacity. If you are doing extra heavy loads then you will want to use # SSR-211-54 rated for 2,800 lbs. This option could give you a more rough ride if you are not carrying heavy loads.

None of these options will increase your payload or towing capacity but are designed to help with shock absorption, support, and controlling body roll. They are excellent for their designed purpose and require no maintenance.

Yes the SumoSprings are for the rear axle. For the front, I recommend the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System # TGMFK25S. These are designed specifically for trucks with snow plows to give you the support needed as well as to reduce body roll. I've attached a review video to assist.
