Recommended Towing Setup for 2016 Nissan Rogue and Utility Trailer
Question:
I see a lot of pictures of 2016 Nissan Rogue, but none pulling a utility trailer. Is there a problem doing this. Thanks

For your 2016 Nissan Rogue, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75902 which is a confirmed fit. I've attached a video of this installation for you.
You will have no issues pulling a utility trailer as long as the loaded trailer does not surpass your vehicle's towing rating of 1,000 lbs.
For your vehicle wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118480. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Nissan Rogue's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove some interior trim or carpeting to access the harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse. I've attached an article to assist with routing the power to the battery and have also attached a video to assist.
For a ball mount, I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 7,500 lbs # 989900. This will give you two different ball mount options with different rise and drop as well as two hitch ball sizes and the pin and clip. This also comes with a nice storage bag. I've attached an article to help you with determining which ball mount to use with your utility trailer.
