Today we're going to review the twelve inch by two inch Electric Trailer Brake Shoes and Lining for 6,000 and 7,000 pound axles. This part is for one wheel. These brake shoes and linings are for electric trailer brakes for most 6,000 and 7,000 pound axles. These will fit the Dexter, the Fayette, and the Forman twelve inch by two inch electric brakes. This part includes everything shown here on the table. Includes the primary shoe, secondary shoe, the two hold down springs with the pins for attaching them to your brake assembly. The primary show will be the one with the smaller pad that'll always face the toward the front of the trailer and the secondary shoe would be the larger or longer pad and that'll be on the rear.
When these are installed the smaller one will face towards the front of the trailer and the larger one will be towards the rear. These parts are certified for SAE standards and CSA standards which are the Canadian standards. When we measure these they're designated as twelve inch by two inch. When you do measure them after these are installed on your brake assembly, the twelve inch will be the diameter if you measure across. Once these are installed you can put .. or if you want to determine what size assembly you have, is measure the ones that are on there and if you measure edge to edge the diameter, it would show twelve inches.
Then the two inches would be the width of the brake pad itself. You can see, right at two inches. These shoes and linings are designed to be used with twelve inch drums. That should do it for the review of the twelve inch by two inch Electric Trailer Brake Shoe and Lining for 6,000 and 7,000 pound axles and this is for one wheel.

12x2" brake shoes
I installed them the evening they arrived. I have not had a chance to test them yet, but the quality seems as good or better than the shoes that were on the axle from the factory.
Very fast and extremely satisfied with the product and service. Installation went without any modifications or problems. Have not used the trailer yet to determine the durability of new brake shoes. If the brake shoes hold up; I'll definitely purchase products in the future from this vender.
I used these shoes to replace original equip shoes on my Lippert 5200# axle assy. These are exactly like originals and fit perfect. Installed and tested on my trailer, works like original. I am very satisfied. These shoes arrived ahead of schedule, undamaged. I will use e trailer next time I need parts for my trailer. Thanks

Brake pads were priced competitively and arrived a day earlier than anticipated.
I've replaced drum brake pads in vehicles I've owned decades ago (disc brake pads are then norm now) but they were a lot smaller than the 12" x 2" I had to replace in my cargo trailer and easier to install.
I had difficulty in trying to hold the anchor pin in place while pushing the retainer clip onto it, but found a solution that worked well. Behind the brake assembly plate, I had fashioned a 2"x2" block of wood and a wedge, then placed it/them against the pin head and the trailer frame to hold the back side of the pin in place, leaving two hands free to deal with holding the brake pad in place and clipping the retainer clip into place. Easy, peazy. The rest of the job was straight forward. I'll be taking the trailer out for a spin to re-burnish them to seat the pads.
This is a good replacement but not an exact replacement. The shoe pad is 1/8 inch thicker than the original and setting the brake adjuster to minimum is a requirement. Failure to do so will unable you to get the drum back on. Also the adjuster, spring, retainer holes are a little different but they don't call for any evasive maneuvering.

product looks good just finished painting over the varnish coating with truck bed liner paint to give them a additional coverage to make them last even longer will install tomorrow fast shipping. Replaced the worn brake shoes on one axle of my toyhauler, and the replacement shoes were an exact fit. They work fantastic.
Brakes fit as advertised.P/N BP04-165 and P/N BP04-150 in my case were the same brake shoes.
