Converting Factory 4-Way Trailer Connector on 2006 Dodge Ram to a 6-Way to Tow Trailer with Brakes
Question:
I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab with a four pin flat connector behind the bumper, I have an older model fifth wheel trailer with a round 6 pin plug, I need to some way to hook this up with electric brakes, thanks Al

You'll want to convert the 4-way trailer connector at the rear of your 2006 Dodge Ram to a 6-way round using our # ETBC6 kit.
This kit includes the 6-way connector and all of the wiring you'll need for an electric trailer brake controller to power the brakes on the fifth wheel.
If you don't already have a brake controller I recommend the Prodigy P3 # 90195. It's one of the top controllers on the market because of how easy it is to use. Since your truck has a factory 4-way the connector to install the P3 will be under the dash. Use # 3020-P to plug the P3 into your truck.
