How to Clear Error Code on Lippert Ground Control Leveling System

Question:

I have an error code that says L F jack. it says to retract all jacks and hit enter to clear. i have tried that and a bunch of other things and still cannot get the error code to clear. sometimes the location of jack changes on display but always results in the same way. only had the camper for 2 weeks. it is a 2016 326rds cougar fifth wheel. any suggestions?

We have heard of this issue before on the Lippert Ground Control systems # LC358590.

Here is the recommended procedure for clearing the error code: Extend all jacks at least 6 inches. Then press and hold the RETRACT button until the jacks begin retracting. All of the jacks should fully retract and clear the error.

If that does not clear the error code disconnect all connectors to let the system power down completely for about 15 minutes. The re-connect and follow the procedure again if the error code reappears.

I’m having the same issue with my Lippert gen 3 system. Battery died during leveling. Now the error won’t go away no matter what I do. Holding auto retract seems to cause an issue too. I swear my leveling system was made by the government. I have more problems with this leveling error than anything else.

If following the method described above didn't clear the error the best I can suggest is to completely disconnect the system from power and then hook it back up, hopefully resetting everything and resolving the issue.

@ChrisR I have a RR jack error and have tried everything I’ve found on restring the error, but the jack will raise.

@DeanK If you have followed the instructions in the manual by checking the harness connections at the controller and at the jack, checked the harness for damaged, and checked the fuses at the controller, and everything looks good then it sounds like there might be one of those components that needs replacing.
